PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
How New Brunswickers marked Christmas 1918 in the midst of a deadly Influenza Pandemic will be the focus of the York Sunbury Historical Society's December virtual speaker series featuring historian Dr. Jane Jenkins.
Carolling in a Crisis: Christmas in New Brunswick during the 1918 Influenza Epidemic will be held via ZOOM at 7 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2020. This FREE presentation will be recorded and made available online after the event.
Dr. Jane Jenkins is an historian of science currently writing a book about the experience of the 1918 influenza epidemic in New Brunswick and the establishment of the province’s first Department of Health.
